The program, returning to Florida A&M University, will bring together high-achieving scholars June 7-12 for an in-person coding experience that will be paired with a culminating summit designed to inspire and empower participants. “Year three is about deepening our impact. We are ensuring our scholars not only gain technical skills, but leave with the confidence, clarity, and connections to lead in any space they enter,” said Arise And Shine Foundation Founder Malinda Williams. “We are building more than coders, we are cultivating innovators and changemakers.” Malinda Williams, founder of Arise and Shine Foundation, poses with students from her bootcamp. Beyond technical training, the experience is intentionally designed to foster leadership and personal growth, integrating sessions on wellness, creative thinking, problem-solving, and confidence-building. “We are honored to welcome the Arise And Shine Foundation’s E.S.T.E.A.M.ED Summit and Coding Bootcamp to Florida A&M University. We remain deeply committed to cultivating the next generation of technology leaders through students who are not only equipped with cutting-edge technical skills, but also grounded in purpose, innovation, and service,” said President Marva B. Johnson, J.D. “Hosting this transformative experience for another year is both a privilege and a testament to our shared vision of empowering scholars to lead, create, and make meaningful impact in an ever-evolving digital world.” Throughout the week, participants will engage in curated discussions and hear from motivational speakers. The experience culminates with the E.S.T.E.A.M.ED (entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, arts, math, and education) Summit, where scholars will present their app projects and compete in the program’s first-ever App Challenge.
