About Chatterbox
What we do
Chatterbox publishes daily civic briefings for every U.S. ZIP code. We aggregate official government notices, school board actions, local court records, public safety alerts, and community events from thousands of verified sources — then deliver them in a single page for your neighborhood.
No opinion. No celebrity gossip. No clickbait. Just the civic information that affects your daily life, sourced directly from the agencies and publishers that produce it.
How it works
Our ingestion system monitors RSS feeds, government calendars, and public-record publishers across all 50 states. Each item is classified by geography and topic, then routed to the ZIP codes it serves. A content gate filters out tabloid media, entertainment, and syndicated wire stories so only genuinely local civic content reaches your page.
Pages update continuously throughout the day. There is no editorial staff selecting stories — the system surfaces what local agencies and verified news publishers actually produce.
Editorial standards
Every source in our index is evaluated before its content appears on the site. We prioritize official government agencies, courts, school districts, and established local newsrooms. Tabloid outlets, entertainment radio, and aggregators that repackage other publishers' work are excluded.
