What we do

Chatterbox organizes verified local civic news into ZIP-based feeds. We aggregate official government notices, school board actions, local court records, public safety alerts, community events, and reporting from local publishers, then route each item only to places supported by its geography. Coverage and recency vary with what local sources actually publish.

No opinion. No celebrity gossip. No clickbait. Just the civic information that affects your daily life, sourced directly from the agencies and publishers that produce it.

How it works

Our ingestion system monitors RSS feeds, government calendars, and public-record publishers across the United States. Each item is classified by geography and topic, then routed to the ZIP codes it serves. A content gate filters out tabloid media, entertainment, and syndicated wire stories so only genuinely local civic content reaches your page.

Pages update as new verified items arrive. The system surfaces what local agencies and verified news publishers actually produce; it leaves a feed sparse when there is not enough supported local material.

Editorial standards

Every source whose content appears on the site must pass our publication rules. We prioritize official government agencies, courts, school districts, and established local newsrooms. Tabloid outlets, entertainment radio, and aggregators that repackage other publishers' work are excluded.
