Why pill bottles? Their small size and composition makes them challenging for traditional recycling processes, so if you drop them in your recycle bin, they likely will still end up at the landfill. Our Empty Pill Bottle Collection Program is designed to collect used pill bottles, which will be repurposed by Osceola County Animal Services to dispense pet medication and by local schools for creative art projects. By participating, you will help reduce the amount of plastic sent to landfills, conserve energy, and minimize pollution by lowering the demand for new raw materials.
