Late-night crash into driveway leads to DUI arrest Stafford County, VA — A late-night call about a damaged gate led deputies to a suspected impaired driver who admitted to crashing onto private property before being taken into custody. The incident occurred around 11:42 p.m. April 24 on Caisson Road, where a vehicle reportedly entered a private driveway and broke through a residential gate. Deputies responding to the scene made contact with the driver, who showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech, an unsteady balance, and the odor of alcohol. Authorities said the driver admitted to drinking earlier and causing the damage. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and the suspect was arrested. At the Sheriff’s Office, a breath test confirmed the driver’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit. The driver was identified as 26-year-old Matthew Ubiles of Stafford. Ubiles was charged with driving under the influence and felony destruction of property. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Key Points
