Cockeysville, MD — A student walking to Cockeysville Middle School was taken into a vehicle by a man claiming to be a family friend, then driven to multiple locations before being dropped off at school, where she reported the incident Tuesday morning. Baltimore County Police say the suspect has since been located and taken into custody. Officers responded to the school around 7:50 a.m. after the student disclosed what happened, prompting an immediate investigation into what police described as an abduction involving deception rather than force. Student safely returned, suspect quickly identified According to the Baltimore County Police Department, the suspect approached the student as she was walking to school and convinced her to get into his vehicle by presenting himself as someone known to her family. After driving her to several locations, the man brought the student back to school, where she reported the incident to authorities. Detectives worked to identify and locate the suspect shortly after the report was made, ultimately taking him into custody the same day. Police have not yet released his name, pending his appearance before a court commissioner. — Key Points• Student taken by man posing as family friend while walking to Cockeysville Middle
