NAS Pensacola NAS Pensacola is a prominent United States Navy base known for its historic significance as the "Cradle of Naval Aviation." It serves as the primary training facility for naval aviators and is home to the renowned Blue Angels flight demonstration team.NAS Pensacola welcomes over a million visitors each year, and it's easy to understand why. The base hosts numerous points of interest and offers a great way to get out and explore hands on history. These attractions are open to the public. Please access the base at the west gate 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. every day. See map for details. A clear bag policy is in effect for the Museum and the Museum Flight Line. Don't forget, only NAS Pensacola social media sites and the National Naval Aviation Museum are the official sources of information for installation access and Blue Angels Practices, respectively. Visitor access to NAS Pensacola's areas of public interest is only available Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Until further notice, ALL VISITORS over the age of 18 must be vetted through the NAS Pensacola Visitor Control Center (VCC) at the main gate at the south end of Navy Blvd. At 777 Murray Rd., Pensacola, FL 32508, before being granted access to the installation. A REAL ID-compliant form of identification is required for access to NAS Pensacola. Screened individuals must then use the installation's West Gate at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway.Please be advised that wait times may be longer than normal. This is an active military base; access may be restricted at any time due to security concerns or visitor volume. Please expect delays. Visitor Update: Blue Angels Practice Viewing & Museum Access Access to the flight line behind the National Naval Aviation Museum for Blue Angels practice viewings is currently suspended until further notice.
