Newark, NJ – A man wanted in Brazil for homicide and flagged with an Interpol Red Notice is now in federal custody after immigration agents tracked him down in New Jersey. Authorities identified the suspect as Ramos Marin, who was arrested in Newark and is currently being held without bond. The arrest, carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Newark, took place April 29, 2025, with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Newark and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Newark. Officials say Marin was the subject of an active international alert tied to a homicide case in Brazil. International Fugitive Located in New Jersey An Interpol Red Notice, one of the highest-level international alerts, had been issued for Marin in connection with a homicide investigation in Brazil. Such notices signal that a person is wanted by a member country and request cooperation from global law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest the individual.
