Man arrested weeks after violent armed robbery on DC street Washington, DC — A suspect accused of pistol-whipping a victim during a street robbery in Northeast D.C. has been arrested weeks after the violent encounter. The incident occurred around 4:58 p.m. Saturday, February 28, in the 4800 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue Northeast. Police said the suspect approached the victim, struck them with a firearm, and demanded property. Authorities said the suspect took the victim’s belongings before fleeing the scene. The victim was treated by DC Fire and EMS for injuries described as non-life-threatening. Following an investigation, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 25-year-old Jarvis Burl of Southeast D.C. on April 23. Burl was taken into custody on a D.C. Superior Court warrant and charged with armed robbery involving a gun. The case remains under investigation. Key Points
