Successful Recycle Drive and Chemical Disposal Event Apr 29, 2026 A big thank you to all the residents who participated in our recent Electronics Recycling, Shredding and Chemical Clean-up event. Your efforts made a real impact. Together, we successfully collected and properly recycled 5,772 pounds of electronic waste across 11 pallets, including monitors, televisions, computers, printers, phones, and household appliances. By keeping these items out of landfills, we help prevent harmful materials like lead, mercury, and other hazardous components from entering our soil and waterways, protecting both our environment and public health. We also extend our gratitude to Miami-Dade County for supporting the safe collection and disposal of 8,013 pounds of household chemicals such as paints, pesticides, and other hazardous products. The safe disposal of these chemicals ensures they are handled in an environmentally responsible way. Every effort counts. By recycling properly and disposing of hazardous materials safely, we continue to protect our community together.
