CASE UPDATE: Palm Coast Pervert Convicted and Sentenced to Life in Prison for Sexually Abusing Child Date: April 16, 2026 Prepared By: Joseph Bober, Public Information Officer Email: PIO@flaglersheriff.com Release #: 2026 – 086 BUNNELL, Fla. — Kristopher Henriqson, who was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in February 2025 following an investigation led by the FCSO Major Case Unit in which detectives determined he had sexually abused a juvenile family member, has been convicted and sentenced. On April 15, a Flagler County jury found Henriqson, 48, of Palm Coast, guilty of two counts of sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age, four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on a person less than 12 years of age, three counts of sexual battery on a person 12 to 18 years of age by a person in familial or custodial authority, lewd or lascivious battery of a person 12 to 16 years of age, and lewd or lascivious molestation of a person 12 to 16 years of age. Following the verdict, Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols sentenced Henriqson to multiple sentences of life in prison, plus 15 years. This means the only way he serves the 15 years is after he completes his multiple life sentences. “I said back when he was arrested this dirtbag deserved the death penalty, and I still believe that would have been a fitting penalty based on the horrifying abuse he committed, the innocence he stole from a child and putting her through a trial,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Still, this was a tremendous effort by everyone involved in investigating this case, and our partners at the State Attorney’s Office, to ensure this pervert will never see a day outside of a prison cell again. I commend the jury for seeing through his antics and making decisions based on the overwhelming facts of the case. I also thank Judge Nichols for giving him the sentence he more than deserved and I commend this child for having the strength to come forward. May this perverted dirtbag rot in hell until he dies!” Henriqson is currently being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility awaiting transfer into Florida Department of Corrections custody.
