Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library to begin Children’s Area Renovations April 6Mar 25, 2026 | NewsThis project is generously funded by the Ponte Vedra Beach Friends of the Library. The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library begins renovations to its Children’s Area on Monday, April 6, with completion expected in Summer 2026. To ensure services for young readers continue during renovation, materials usually held in the Children’s Area will temporarily move to the Friends of the Library Community Room within the library.During the renovation process, the branch will remain open to the public. Some library programs will be held off-site; patrons are encouraged to check the library’s website or contact staff for the latest updates. Patrons may also experience occasional noise or minor disruptions during construction. “We’re so excited to be able to refresh our space for our current and future families,” said Robyn Carr, Youth Services Librarian. “This new space will better support the needs of our growing community while inspiring a lifelong love of reading and learning.” The Ponte Vedra Beach Friends of the Library invested and began a fundraising campaign for the renovation of the Children’s Area. The design is inspired by the coastal region of Ponte Vedra Beach and will be called “The Children’s Cove”. The renovation transforms the room into a more inviting, easy-to-navigate space, with an improved layout that helps visitors connect with services more quickly. Key features in the renovation include: Intentional seating for expanded age ranges and their families. Dedicated spaces for young learners to collaborate and play. Improved access to STEM resources and technology. Enclosed spacing provides centralized access for our young audience. Renovation of restrooms in the Children’s Area.
