2026 Roadway Resurfacing Project

News Release Date 03-27-2026 Back to News *UPDATE* Crews with Middlesex Paving completed resurfacing work in the Oak Forest and Tuscawilla areas on April 17, 2026, and a final walkthrough with the contractor is scheduled for this week. Recent inclement weather, along with other unforeseen delays, extended the project timeline somewhat, but overall, crews were able to complete milling and repaving of over 29,000 feet of roadway. *********************************************************************************************On Monday, March 16, 2026, crews will begin one of several roadway resurfacing projects within the City that may affect traffic. The teams contracted by the City will mill and resurface 9 separate areas over the next several weeks. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every effort will be made to keep the streets open during this process. Residents in the affected areas are advised to avoid parking their vehicles along the roadways to allow for efficient progress. Maps of the project areas and specific locations can be found below. Week of April 6 -April 10 The City of Winter Springs continues its roadway resurfacing efforts throughout much of the Oak Forest community. Due to inclement weather, crews were unable to operate yesterday and have also canceled work for today. These weather-related interruptions, along with other unforeseen delays, have contributed to the project taking longer than originally anticipated. Despite these setbacks, our Public Works team remains committed to completing the project as efficiently and safely as possible. Once resurfacing in Oak Forest is fully completed, crews will transition to the Gazel and Duncan areas as part of the ongoing pavement improvement schedule.
