1. No AI-Written News

Chatterbox does not publish AI-written summaries or other machine-generated news prose. Feed cards use information supplied by the source, such as its title, publisher, date, link, and any source-provided excerpt. The source page remains the record to read.

2. Automated Source Processing

Automated systems may classify public-source text by topic, sensitivity, quality, and geographic relevance. They may also create embeddings for matching, search, and duplicate detection. These results control routing and eligibility; they do not create reader-facing news copy. Items that fail a required gate are withheld.

3. Sponsor Creative Review

Sponsor images pass through automated file, destination-URL, and content checks. An AI image classifier may help identify disallowed or uncertain creative. A clear pass may be approved automatically. A failure or uncertain result remains pending and offline; it is not treated as approved.

4. No Routine Human Editorial Review

Chatterbox is operated as an automated aggregation service and does not promise routine review by a human editor. A queue or pending status means the item is withheld; it does not promise a person will review it within a particular time. Corrections, takedown requests, and other notices are processed under the policies linked on this site.

5. Providers and Data

When enabled, Chatterbox may use Anthropic or OpenRouter for classification and sponsor creative review, and Voyage AI for embeddings. Providers receive only the source text, sponsor creative, or related context needed for that task.

We do not send subscriber email addresses, feed preferences, or payment details to AI providers for these tasks. Provider availability and model versions may change without changing the limits stated in this policy.

6. Records and Policy Changes

We keep operational records of automated processing where needed to diagnose decisions and enforce product rules. Material changes to the uses or limits described here will appear on this page with a revised date.
